The National Science Foundation is currently funding two major Mathematics Education projects--the Math and Science Partnership Project Pathways for $12.5 million and the Teacher Professional Continuum for $4.5 million. NSF is also currently providing support for the Noyce Scholarship program at ASU.

Science Foundation Arizona is currently funding the Math and Science Teaching Fellows project at ASU providing an immersion reseach experience for Arizona secondary math and science teachers.

Prospective graduate students have several options for the Ph.D. in mathematics education. The Master's of Natural Science degree is designed for teachers who wish to pursue content-focused studies in mathematics and science education.

    Researchers design, test and continually refine new theories, methods and materials for teachers and faculty to use in classrooms from K-12 through university graduate programs. The approach is interdisciplinary, and our research teams include scientists, mathematicians and engineers as well as educators.
